Each of us desires to live our lives embraced by God's love. How do we do this? Where does this embracing" take place? Perhaps it does somewhere in an inner, private place. Is there a genuine inner life, a private inner world that each of us possesses? The Scriptures, the experiences of the great saints, and the writings of more contemporary sages say there is-and that that inner life can be ordered and regulated. Where people live with disorder within, there is anxiety and little growth. But where the private world is constantly realigned and regulated, there is the ability to live "in grace"-by grace meaning an inner harmony, essentially spiritual, which can be translated into outward harmony. Cost is $15. Call the church further information. NEW FALL 2008 - Mom's In Accountability (MIA) Bible Study Thursdays beginning September 25, 9:30 to 11:30 AM. A Bible study especially for young moms or moms of young children. As Denise Ackley and Sharon Brobst will lead this small-group we pray it will be both a place of nurture for Christian women and a safe place to bring friends. Nursery will be provided by "Little Hearts for Jesus". Heart Talk is a biblically-based study that teaches and encourages younger women in their relationship with their husbands and children. Heart Talk is for any mother who may feel isolated, intimidated by information overload, or insignificant in her role as a parent. Moms of all ages will find help in parenting skills, hope in the powerful God who gave them their children, and heart-to-heart encouragement from one mom to another. Topics include "How to Be a Mother and a Person Too," "Fences and Flexibility: Setting Limits with Love," and "What Messages are Our Kids Getting?" Cost is $15. While mom (or grandma) is at Bible study we offer "Little Hearts for Jesus" for children up to age 7. These children enjoy a time of playing, snack, singing and Bible stories.
